Lake Coeur d'Alene Engagement Session - Cole & Kailee

Spokane Anniversary Session

It was the first “warm” day of the year mid-February when we met for their engagement session on Lake Coeur d’Alene. The kind where it was sunny for the first time in a month & felt deceivingly warm. I’m pretty sure it was only 45 degrees! Cole & Kailee braved the shoot  and we were all frozen afterward! Luckily their wedding is this June so we won’t have to worry about frozen fingers & red noses by then – (fingers crossed, haha). Welcome to the PNW – where the Weather App doesn’t apply and you have to dress yourself for warm, cold, sun, and rain all on the same day!

I met them at his grandparent’s house on Lake Coeur d’Alene. It’s a gorgeous spot with lots of variety. It has the Lake, their dock and a beautiful forested area. We made sure to shoot at those three areas to change it up a bit. It’s nice when one location lends itself well to a wide variety of backgrounds – it makes it easy so we don’t have to drive around to different locations and waste time. Beyond that, the best part about this spot are the memories that it holds for Cole spending his summers there. Finding a photo spot that has meaning behind it always makes it that much more special!

Enjoy! – xoxo, Hannah

You’re only engaged once together. Enjoy it, soak it all in, and get the photos taken! As nice as it is to have your formal bridal photos, it’s nice to have more casual photos of the two of you. It’s also important to document your love as it grows – whether it be at your one year anniversary or your 10th. Everyone has their own love story.
And I love documenting people’s stories.
